Heaviest Rain In Years

Checking tomorrow’s weather forecast on my cell phone, since I heard on the radio we are supposed to get the heaviest rain in years here in southern California.

Things I Hate About The Beast

I’m back outside in the typical winter weather we get here in southern California, shooting stereoscopic 3D video with my image-splitter I call “The Beast”, since it has a five-inch stereo base. It has its challenges, though, so in this video I talk about the things I hate about it. I shot some cell phone photos of the area, so you can rotate the view and take a look at those. There’s also a close-up of The Beast on the left side of the video.
Have fun!

Rain Delay

We are experiencing a short rain delay here in southern California, which has caused me to alter my plans for a few days. Watch the video for details.

Talking Things

Another winter day, another park here in southern California, and still not many friends with wings.

Sunscreen

Viewable in 2D, 3D and 360° virtual reality.

Wearing sunscreen here in southern California is extremely important, and I’m doing everything I can to remember to wear it every time I go outside.

Back to 3D with this composited live-action video, recorded with my Sony camcorder mounted on my image-splitter with a 5-inch stereo base that I call “The Beast”.
I got lazy compositing 2D videos, lately—correcting the keystone distortion then applying the proper barrel distortion for this image-splitter is a huge pain in the butt!
