It’s that time of the year here in the San Gabriel Valley—time to dust off the bicycles!
The composited 3D video was recorded with a cheap Canon camcorder and a homemade 3D image-splitter. The lossless workflow using the UtVideo codec shouldn’t introduce any noticeable recompression artifacts.
This is the view of the San Gabriel Valley from the south, and a view of downtown Los Angeles from straight east.

This 360 3D VR scene was created in Blender. The stereo base of the 360 degree stereoscopic Blender camera is the real life equivalent of 5 inches, placed 12 feet above the ground.
The live-action 3D video was recorded with a Sony TD30.
Compositing was done with Sony Movie Studio Platinum 13.
